The truth is we just want to do more & more projects around the world. We've seen how this idea works across four very different countries already, so the more balls we have to give away, the more projects we'll do.

Rwanda - 2009

In the summer of 2009 (September tbc) a team of volunteers will head for Rwanda. This is a hugely exciting project with big ambitions, that will hopefully bring smiles to the faces of tens of thousands more children. 

Rwanda is a country that suffered so much, but there is now a new generation of children growing up who have a real chance to enjoy their childhoods, despite the poverty around them. Whatever we can do to support them and those that care for them we will.

2009 & BEYOND

Nicaragua - 2009

We are still in the very early planning stages of this, but hope to extend our reach beyond Africa, by running a project in Nicaragua. 

As far as the long term future goes, The Great Football Giveaway is not just about us & what we do – it’s about you. We will keep delivering projects but next time you go to countries where you feel something like this can make a difference, then do something about it. Pack yourself a bag of balls and take them with you. You’ll see for yourself how sport can be used as a real force for good. So simple.
